Check-in and check-out

On arrival

When you arrive, simply drive onto the property, park and collect the key from the lockbox. Below you will find the essentials to get your stay off to a smooth start.

Good to know

  • We send the lockbox code separately by SMS, and we give its exact location over the phone. We do not publish either on the website.
  • Once you are inside, take your time to settle in. There is nothing extra you need to do straight away.
  • If anything is unclear on arrival, the best thing is to call or message us right away.

Step by step

  • Open the gate and drive onto the property.
  • Park your car in the designated parking spot.
  • Please do not drive onto the lawn.
  • The key is waiting in a coded lockbox — we tell you exactly where it is by phone before you arrive.
  • You will receive the lockbox code by SMS before arrival.
  • Step inside, settle in at your own pace and unpack your things.

Before you leave

Check-out is self-service. Before you go, we just ask for a few simple things that help leave the house in good order until our housekeeping team arrives.

Good to know

  • There is no need to wait for the host or the cleaning team.
  • The key things are to take your belongings, lock up the house and leave it in basic order.
  • When draining the hot tub / Jacuzzi and the cold-plunge tub, connect the hose first and only then open the valve.
  • If anything has been damaged or needs our attention, the best thing is to let us know straight away by SMS or WhatsApp.

Departure checklist

  • Empty the used coffee grounds from the espresso machine.
  • Pour out any coffee left in the pot after breakfast.
  • Take out the bio waste (the bin under the sink).
  • Take out the sorted recycling bags.
  • If you have just used the hot tub or the cold-plunge tub, please drain the water — unless there is frost; then the water stays in.

Draining the hot tub

In dry, fair weather we simply drain the water onto the lawn. When it is wet or raining, we drain it into the underground tank with a soakaway — the metal cover of the tank is in the lawn, next to the drain valve of the hot tub. In frost, or when the forecast drops below zero, we do not drain the water at all.

In frost, do not drain the water

  • When there is frost, or the forecast drops below freezing, leave the water in the hot tub and in the cold-plunge tub.
  • Residual water in the hydromassage channels can freeze before our service team arrives and crack the pipework.
  • Leaving the water in is exactly what prevents that.

Step by step

  • Make sure the hot tub is switched off and you cannot hear any electrical sounds.
  • Check that the hydromassage jets and the pump are off.
  • Take the thick grey drain hose. It is stored under the sauna, next to the hot tub stove.
  • Slot the hose into the drain valve at the bottom of the tub.
  • Lay the other end of the hose out toward the tank or onto the grass, depending on the weather.
  • Only once the hose is connected, open the valve and leave it open so the water can drain steadily.
